Days, nights & live-in
Eidyn Care provides overnight, 24-hour and live-in care at home across Edinburgh, Fife, Kinross and Perth. Options range from evening settle visits and sleepover nights to waking night care and full live-in support — one-to-one care that is a genuine alternative to a residential home, from a family-run, award-winning provider.
What’s included
Every package is built around a personal plan agreed with you and your family — flexible visits from one hour through to full 24/7 support, delivered by a small, consistent team of SSSC-registered carers.
Evening settle visits — support with supper, medication and getting comfortably to bed
Sleepover nights — a carer stays overnight and is on hand if needed — reassurance for everyone
Waking night care — a carer awake and attentive all night, for higher needs, dementia or end-of-life care
24-hour care — seamless day and night rotas built around one personal plan
Live-in care — a dedicated carer living in the home — continuous one-to-one support
Respite cover — nights and short blocks so family carers can rest and recover
Who it’s for
Night-time is usually where home care arrangements break first: falls in the small hours, night-time confusion, a family carer running on no sleep. If any of that sounds familiar, overnight support is often the single change that makes everything else sustainable.
For higher needs, 24-hour and live-in care offer something no care home can: one-to-one attention, in the person’s own home, on the person’s own terms. The routines stay the same. The neighbours, the garden, the dog — all still there. Couples can stay together, which residential care often makes difficult.
Cost-wise, live-in care is frequently comparable to a good care home for a single person — and materially better value for a couple. We’ll give you straight numbers at assessment, and our costs and funding guide explains what help is available.

How it works
Speak to our care team — no obligation, no pressure. We’ll listen and answer your questions honestly.
We visit at home, meet the family, and build a personal plan around routines, preferences and outcomes.
You meet your carers before care starts. We review the plan regularly and adjust as needs change.
Yes — consistency is the foundation of good dementia care, so we deliberately keep teams small. You’ll meet your carers before care begins, and we avoid a revolving door of new faces.
The care plan grows with the person. Many families start with a daily visit and step up gradually to multiple visits, overnight support, and eventually 24-hour or live-in care — with the same familiar team throughout.
Often, yes. We start slowly — sometimes just companionship — and build trust before introducing personal care. Our carers are trained to reassure rather than confront, and we’ll be honest with you about what’s working.
It can be. Free Personal Care applies in Scotland regardless of age for those assessed as needing it, and Self-Directed Support lets you choose your own provider. We’ll explain the options — see our costs and funding guide.
