How can we help

Three ways to keep them safe and independent at home

Every family’s situation is different — from a couple of visits a week to round-the-clock support. Here’s where most families start.

Home Care

Visits from one hour a day for personal care, medication, meals and companionship — flexible as needs change, with the same familiar faces each time.

Live-in & 24-Hour Care

A dedicated carer living in the home, or round-the-clock rotas — a genuine alternative to a care home, so couples can stay together and routines stay the same.

Supported Living

For adults with a learning disability, tailored support in their own home and their own life — independence with the right care built in.

Why families choose Eidyn

Consistency, honesty, and carers who actually know your parents

When you’re arranging care for someone you love, the biggest fear isn’t the paperwork — it’s handing that responsibility to strangers. That’s why every carer is SSSC-registered, PVG-checked and directly employed by us, never subcontracted through an agency. Clients know them as the Eidyn Angels.

Being family-run and local means decisions are made by people you can actually speak to. When you call our Edinburgh or Lochgelly office, you reach our team — not a call centre reading from a script.

Recognising the signs

If any of this sounds familiar, it’s usually time for a conversation:

Missed medication or muddled dosages

A once-tidy home slipping, or meals being skipped

A fall, hospital stay, or new unsteadiness

You’re the one holding it all together, and it’s not sustainable

How it works

Three steps to the right support

1

Call for a chat

Speak to a real person at your local office. No pressure, no obligation — just straight answers, even if that means pointing you elsewhere.

2

Free care assessment

We visit at home, listen to the whole family, and build a personal plan around routines, preferences and outcomes.

3

Meet your carers

You meet your small, consistent team before care begins. We review and adapt the plan as needs change.

Common questions

Questions families ask us

How do I know if my parent needs home care?

Common signs include missed medication, mounting laundry or dishes, weight loss, unexplained bruises or falls, and a once-tidy home slipping. If you’ve noticed a few of these, a free assessment will give you a clear, honest picture — and there’s no obligation to go any further.

Often within days of the free home assessment, depending on the package. Hospital discharges and urgent situations are prioritised.
