Cookie Policy

How eidyncare.co.uk uses cookies and similar technology

Draft prepared 3 September 2026 — for review before publishing at eidyncare.co.uk/cookie-policy/

TO CONFIRM BEFORE PUBLISHING: No dedicated cookie policy page currently exists on the live site — cookie wording is buried inside the old generic privacy policy template. This draft gives it its own page, linked from the Privacy Policy. Cookie names below should be checked against a live scan once the duplicate-analytics clean-up (GA Google Analytics + MonsterInsights both running) is resolved, so the table describes what’s actually firing rather than what’s about to be removed.

  1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They’re widely used to make sites work, work more efficiently, and to provide information to the site owner. Some cookies are essential; others help us understand how the site is used, or support advertising.

  1. The cookies we use

We group our cookies into four categories:

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to function — for example, remembering your progress through a form, or supporting basic security. These can’t be switched off, and don’t require consent.

Analytics

Help us understand how visitors use the site — which pages are popular, how people move around, and where they’ve come from — so we can improve it. These only run with your consent.

TO CONFIRM BEFORE PUBLISHING: Confirm the final analytics set once GA Google Analytics and MonsterInsights are consolidated to one implementation — running both currently means visitors are (and this policy would be) tracking duplicate cookies for no benefit.

Advertising

Support our Google Ads campaigns — measuring whether an ad led to an enquiry, and, where used, showing relevant ads to people who’ve visited the site before. These only run with your consent.

  1. Managing your cookie preferences

You can accept or decline non-essential cookies when you first visit the site via our cookie banner, and change your choice at any time [CONFIRM: via a “Manage cookies” link in the footer]. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings — note that doing so may affect how parts of the site work.

TO CONFIRM BEFORE PUBLISHING: Please confirm whether a working cookie-consent banner is actually live on the rebuilt site. It didn’t appear in a page fetch of the homepage. Publishing this policy is necessary but not sufficient — UK PECR rules require you to ask for consent before analytics and advertising cookies are set, not just describe them after the fact. If there’s no banner live, that’s a compliance gap that should sit alongside the punch list, not behind it.

  1. Third-party cookies

Some cookies are set by third parties when you use our site, such as Google. We don’t control these cookies — you can find out more in Google’s own privacy and cookie information.

  1. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the tools and cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last reviewed.

  1. Contact us
