Scottish Care Award – Winners!

Rebecca McLennan was recognised for her commitment to providing outstanding care by winning the inaugural Palliative and End of Life Care Practice Award at the Scottish Care Awards in Glasgow on Friday.

The awards organised each year by Scottish Care, the independent voice of the Care Sector, celebrates the amazing work of front-line staff, projects and organisations in the challenging Social Care Environment across Scotland.

The former Hawick High School Student started her company, Eidyn Care, in 2016 with her husband after working in a busy oncology ward and latterly in a Palliative Hospice. She recognised that there was no dedicated Palliative Care at Home offering in Scotland and said “I wanted to provide a bespoke service that would allow people to live their lives with dignity and respect in their own homes.”

The awards didn’t stop there when her company, Eidyn Care, won “Care Provider of the Year 2019” – the highest accolade that a company can be awarded.

Rebecca said “I am so proud of the team for being recognised for providing the highest level of care in Scotland”
